Building the Clinical Infrastructure for Modern Behavioral Therapy
A clinician-directed platform supporting behavioral assessment documentation, analysis, and communication
The Behavioural Mind is a clinician-directed digital platform designed to support Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) providers with real-time data collection, automated clinical documentation, and measurable treatment insights.
Developed in collaboration with clinicians, engineers, and AI researchers in Edmonton, Canada, the platform addresses one of the largest barriers in behavioral care: administrative workload and delayed clinical feedback.

The Behavioural Mind began inside real therapy sessions — not a lab.
ABA clinicians spend a significant portion of their day recording observations, transferring paper data, writing session notes, and preparing documentation for funding bodies and parents. In many cases, clinicians spend nearly as much time documenting therapy as delivering it.
Alyssia, a graduate-trained behavioral clinician, experienced firsthand the burden of manual documentation and delayed reporting. The issue was not a lack of clinical skill — it was a lack of clinical infrastructure.
The Behavioural Mind was created to solve that problem: a system where data is captured during therapy, not after it.

To translate clinical workflows into a scalable technical platform, The Behavioural Mind engaged with Alberta’s artificial intelligence community, including the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii).
Through mentorship, technical guidance, and exposure to applied machine-learning practices, the project evolved from a concept into an engineered system capable of real-time behavioral data processing and structured clinical reporting.
This collaboration ensured the platform was not only clinically meaningful but also technically robust and ready for real-world deployment in therapy environments. Amii is not a commercial partner and does not operate the platform

The platform entered technical development through programs within the University of Alberta innovation ecosystem and AI research community.
Engineering teams worked alongside clinicians to translate behavioral observation workflows into a scalable digital architecture capable of real-time analysis, secure data handling, and automated reporting.
The result is not a scheduling tool or clinic app — it is a clinical operations system specifically designed for behavioral therapy environments.

The Behavioural Mind is being introduced to the professional behavioral health community as part of its validation and adoption phase.
Presentations and demonstrations allow clinicians, researchers, and service providers to evaluate the platform in real clinical workflows.
This phase transitions the platform from development to real-world clinical use, preparing for supervised trials and clinical implementation partnerships. The platform does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or replace clinical decision-making.

The platform is currently entering supervised clinical trial environments to validate accuracy, workflow efficiency, and documentation compliance.
The trials evaluate:
• documentation time reduction
• accuracy of behavioral data capture
• clinician usability
• treatment outcome tracking
Secure network infrastructure and privacy-compliant deployment are supported by professional IT systems designed to meet healthcare data protection standards.

The Behavioural Mind is designed to become a core clinical tool used during therapy sessions — not an administrative system used afterward.
By combining clinician expertise with structured data and AI-assisted analysis, the platform enables:
• immediate feedback to therapists
• measurable treatment progress
• objective reporting for parents and funders
• scalable clinic operations
Our goal is to modernize behavioral therapy delivery while preserving what matters most: clinician judgment and patient care.
